Curling starts October 12, 2024!
Saturdays - 4:15pm - 6:15pm
The Fort Rouge Curling Club is fired up to start the 2024/25 curling season. We felt last year was a huge success due to the leadership, volunteers, and excited Juniors. We will be moving forward with the same Program we ran last year. We will continue to operate as a grass roots program, the three categories of Junior curlers as well as two separate terms running from October-December and January-March
Our junior program is successful because of the support of our curling community. We rely heavily on parent volunteers to help on and off the ice. Throughout the season, we invite elite curlers to spend time with and instruct our junior curlers. We celebrate the end of the season with off-ice games, treats and food. We look forward to sharing the upcoming season with you and your family!

The Little Rocks program will target ages 6-10 who are ready to learn about the sport of curling in a fun and structured environment. Each week will offer a 45-minute lesson(4:15 pm & 5:15 pm), including instruction on the rules, etiquette, technique, and strategy.
Space will be limited to eight participants in each session.
Novice (10+)
Basic Membership - $25 for the year
Curling Fees - $70 per term
Max curlers per session - 20
The Novice group will be offered structured 30-minute lessons each week followed by a 4-end game or skills competition
Approximately 1.5 hours each week, this group will be open to 10 years and older. Kids in this group need no previous experience with curling, but it may also be of interest to kids who have already played. Although this is a registered program, we will operate drop-in style, which means no set teams, rather different teams form each week based on attendance and ability. Players from this group may also occasionally be called on to spare in the Junior group.
Juniors
Basic Membership - $25 for the year
Curling Fees - $70 per term
Max curlers per session - 24
FRCC is encouraging team registration for this component of the program, however, singles are welcome, and we can assist in forming teams. This group will be provided with on-ice coaching as required, but instruction will be limited to a short refresher clinic at the beginning of each term. We expect participants in this group to have some curling experience and have the ability to play an 8-end game.
